Terms of use

coach-m8 is a closed-beta product run by an individual (not a company), as a personal project. It is provided as-is, may break, and is free while in beta. Be reasonable with it and we'll be reasonable with you.

coach-m8 (the “service”) is operated by Szymon Krolikowski as an independent personal project. Contact: kroolixs@gmail.com.

Access to coach-m8 is invite-only during the closed beta. You must be 18+ to use the service. We may grant or revoke access at any time, for any reason, and without notice. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

coach-m8 is provided as-is and as-available. We make no warranty, express or implied, about fitness for any purpose, availability, or accuracy. Features may change, break, or disappear without notice during the beta. Data loss is possible — do not rely on coach-m8 as the sole record of your training.

coach-m8 generates training suggestions using AI. These are not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before starting any exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or recovering from injury. You train at your own risk. coach-m8 and its operator are not liable for any injury, illness, or loss arising from use of the service.

Don't use coach-m8 to: violate any law, infringe anyone's rights, attempt to break or probe the service for security flaws, attempt to access other users' data, scrape or resell the output of the service, or use it for any commercial purpose without written permission.

coach-m8 uses third-party services to function — Supabase (authentication, database), Vercel (hosting), Strava (activity sync, optional), and Google Gemini (AI plan generation). Your use of those services through coach-m8 is also subject to their own terms. We're not responsible for downtime or behavior of those upstream providers.

You retain all rights to your training data, goals, and notes. By using coach-m8, you grant the service a non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your data solely to operate the service for you. We do not sell your data and do not use it to train AI models.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page or by emailing us. We'll remove your personal data from the primary database within 30 days. Aggregated, de-identified data may be retained for service-quality purposes.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, at our sole discretion.

coach-m8 is free during the closed beta. We may introduce paid tiers in the future. Beta users will receive advance notice and a locked-in early-bird option as a thank-you for being early.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, coach-m8 and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Direct damages are limited to the amount you have paid for the service (during the beta, this is zero).

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-product notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, where the operator is based. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Poland.
